the capistrano swallows is and alway has been a great story. i live in north central montana we have the cerlews and they arrive april 12 some old timers have a day or 2 earlier or later,probly where you live ,the county is chouteau county,its almost 4000 square miles and has a population of 5847,we had very few in the 60s as a kid growing up just two places.now we have lots,and we enjoy them alot they even nest bihind our house in a hay field,they are great bug eaters and we welcome that,4 years of grasshopper infestation,you can see as many as 12 walking in a u shaped line hunting grasshoppers,most interesting, my point is there are other birds on a timeline ,there arent as many people around to notice it,
